Quentin Bacon is an Australian born and raised Photographer whose work encompasses lifestyle, interior, fashion, food and portrait photography.
Although hailing from New York for the past 15 years, Quentin began building his talent in Sydney and Melbourne, working with various advertising agencies and editorial publications, clientele including Vogue Australia, Vogue Living, Gourmet Traveller, Harpers Bazaar, Elle and Marie Claire.
Attributing his endless inspiration to the ‘visual world and the hearts that make it beat’, Quentin finds peace in capturing life in stillness and conjuring the inner life through the use of light.
In the world of food photography, this man sets the bar high… depicting beautiful soulful cooking for the eye. His work in the U.S saw him strongly succeed in this industry, having the exciting honour to collaborate with Michelle Obama on her cookbook ‘American Grown’ as well as world class chefs and food writers such as Gordon Ramsay, Ina Garten, Masaharu Morimoto and Mario Batali.
Words from the Artist himself.
“I obsess over illumination and am spellbound by the Dutch Masters’.
“I am grateful to everyone who has given me a “shot”, for my patience, sense of humour and always knowing how to interpret words into pictures”.
“I’m seduced by warm turquoise water, balmy summer evenings and devoted to magical moments.”
Currently, Quentin is looking to transition his time between Australia and New York.
